Many great events at Croatian community in March and April 2025

March and April were very busy months at the Croatian community. Lectures, workshops, and visits from the Croatian Consulate.

On March 9, Dr. Marija Pranjić, PhD, MT-BC, gave a lecture – Music and the Brain – at the Croatian Community in Boston.

As part of her lecture, Music and the Brain, Dr. Pranjić shared insights from her current laboratory work and explained how neuroscience helps us understand neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD, dyspraxia, autism, and others. This lecture provided valuable perspectives for parents, caregivers, and everyone interested in this fascinating topic.

Dr. Marija Pranjic is a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory for Cognitive Neuroscience at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard University, where she also teaches in the Mind Brain Behavior program.

Her research focuses on clinical music neuroscience, emphasizing music-induced plasticity in early childhood and the biomedical applications of music in neurological rehabilitation.

Also, on March 9th we were honored to welcome Nikica Kopačević, Consul General of the Republic of Croatia in New York. This is a great opportunity to meet, ask questions, and discuss the organization of a consular day in Boston.
